Long working days in front of a computer, inconsistent sleep and indulging in a convenient frozen pizza instead of eating nourishing whole foods is a really quick way to turn your skin into a dehydrated shit tip. When you start to notice strange rashes and a greyish tinge, it’s time to step up the skincare.

virgin mojito range body shop

The nice people over at The Body Shop asked me to share my top tips for their #happyskin campaign, in celebration of their gorgeous new Mojito themed bath and body range. So far I’ve tried:

  • Virgin Mojito body sorbet – A light, non-greasy moisturiser that’s a joy to slather on in the mornings. Smells fresh and delicious. The mint leaves a very slight, pleasant tingle on the skin.
  • Virgin Mojito body scrub – A lovely big tub of scrub to slew away dead skin cells in the shower, leaving skin supple and smooth and ready for a good ol’ moisturising.
  • Virgin Mojito body butter – Definitely one for those who need an intense moisture treat or one left to work it’s magic overnight as it has a slightly greasy texture. Best saved for when you have time to be super indulgent.

Treating skin from the outside is all very well, but since switching to the Wholeheartedly Healthy whole foods diet, my biggest change I’ve seen in myself is my weight and the condition of my skin. After a week of proper nourishment and banishing chemically preserved food, my skin started GLOWING.
